Sweden humiliate Luxembourg

I went to watch the World cup qualifiers in Stockholm and it was indeed a very interesting game. The score in full time was 8-0 and that sets Sweden off to a very good start to the world cup, and gives them a big advantage to qualifying.

People now argue that because Swedish superstar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is gone the Swedish squad is way better. I am going to be dead honest. I actually agree. I have watched many of Swedens games in the past, with and without Zlatan. The thing about Zlatan is that everyone used to rely on him. If Sweden won everyone gave credits to him, and the same when Sweden lost. Sweden used to be a one man team. However, now that more players step up and take role, the Swedish football team is once again a "team". After all football is a team sport, and looking at Swedens new squad, I can tell they will make it far.

Anyway, lets not get off topic. Back to the game opinions. During the game Sweden had the most possession and theres no debate that Sweden was the stronger side. Swedens passing game in Luxembourgs half was next level. Sweden played a tiki-taka kind of game and that did create many goals and opportunities for Sweden. Another thing Sweden did well wad the hunger and eager in the penalty box. Marcus berg who was a key player during the game was always free in the box which helped Sweden with the 4 goals that he scored.

Another beautiful goal was by Ola Toivonen, which was a volley into the top right corner. I also think that Luxembourgs goalie was not top notch, and this also helped to the victory. Either way Sweden fought really hard and deserved that win. Sweden now face the Netherlands in the last game for the qualification. Very excited for the game.

Anyway here is a picture from the game.
