Where is Zlatan?
Recently there has been a lot of talk about the Swedish superstar following his cruciate ligament injury back before summer. There has definitely been rumours going around that Zlatan's only option right now is to retire from professional football. However, the Swedish-man claims that he will return stronger than ever.
A cruciate ligament injury at Zlatan's age, which is the age most football players retire, is a very hard to recover from. It has been taking Zlatan a lot of training and rehab in order to get back into shape like the way he was before April. After all he is 35 years old and no club would be interested in signing him due to his age.
Zlatan got injured the 20th of April and is expected to return the 16th of December. This means that the total games missed for Zlatan will be over 40. Manchester united also have a very new squad and there are several new players that Zlatan has no chemistry with so far. By putting Zlatan on the pitch with the new squad could be very risky in my opinion.
After all Zlatan is a player who likes to keep the ball to himself and play his own game. Which might not affect Manchester United's results at the end of the season. All we know is that Ibrahimovic is very eager to return back to football and prove to everyone that age does not matter. And i really hope thats what he does.
