Frustrating loss for my fellow Swedes

Yesterday i went to watch Sweden vs Chile in a friendly live at friends arena in Stockholm. I try to get tickets to any good games available in Stockholm or nearby.

The game was extremely interesting with some really good players such as Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal playing in the starting eleven for Chile. My main focus was on Sanchez as he is playing for Manchester United now after a transfer from Arsenal. Enough about Alexis and more about the game.

The game started at a quite slow pace but the huge army of red Chilean kept cheering on the nation creating an amazing atmosphere in the stadium. Swedens fans remained quiet for the majority of the game. The first 20 minutes were quite uneventful as there was only one shot on goal. However, in the 22nd minute Vidal managed to smash a half volley from a rebound into the top corner, unstoppable for the Swedish keeper. Chiles fans got loud and the Swedes remained silent. However, just after the kickoff from the goal, Sweden pushes through and manages to equalise just 1 minute after with a beautiful play and an accurate shot by Swedens star Toivonen. The Swedes got back up and started dominating the game until the whistle.

In the second half, Chile managed to keep hold of the ball and created a lot of dangerous chances. Sweden remained in a very defensive position while Chile were pushing on trying to get the ball in the net. In the 90th minute as all the fans were leaving early Bolados manages to put the ball in the net and puts at Chile 2-1. The Chilean fans went absolutely crazy and the Swedes were left devastated.

Overall, it was an incredible game to watch with amazing atmosphere. There is a huge difference when you watch the game live and watching it on TV. It was also great to see such amazing players play live. Even though Sweden lost it was a memorable game with a lot of tension both made by fans and the players on the field.
